Dashboard or Full Panel?
We have two ways to manage your Minecraft server. Most people only need the normal dashboard. The full panel is there if you want more control over files and server settings.
What's the difference?
| Dashboard | Full Panel | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Daily server management | More advanced settings |
| Plugins and mods | Browse and install from the interface | Manage files and other available content tools |
| Minecraft version | Choose server software and versions | More startup settings |
| Players | See players and manage access | Console and server files |
| Server settings | Change common settings with controls | Edit server.properties yourself |
| Files | Use the file manager | File manager and SFTP |
Use the dashboard for everyday things
Go to dash.freemchosting.com. You can start or stop your server, see the console, find plugins and mods, change Minecraft versions and manage players. You can also access the rewards page for your free credits.
If you're new to Minecraft servers, start here.
When you might need the full panel
Go to panel.freemchosting.com if you need to edit files directly, upload a larger set of files with SFTP or change advanced startup settings. It's based on Pterodactyl.
Be careful when changing startup options or editing files. Make a backup first, especially if you're changing Minecraft versions or moving worlds.
Which should I use?
Start with the dashboard. If a guide tells you to use the full panel for a particular setting, you can switch to it then.
